'So She Says' aims to create a social network where up-and-coming female Melbourne musicians and industry professionals can access resources, inspiration and mentorship from those at a more established level. 2013-2014 will see a series of events including performances and networking sessions. It will also launch the inaugural 'So She Says' CD, showcasing a range of Melbourne’s independent female artists at differing career stages.

The lovely ladies who have shown their support for the first 'So She Says' compilation CD by donating their talents, are Liz Stringer, Mia Dyson, Rosie Burgess, Valentiine, Aurora Jane, Tessa and the Typecast, Charlie Thorpe, Mel Calia, The Rebelles, Zoe Ryan (and the Dandy Lion) and Hayley Couper.

The compilation CD launch will be at The Workers Club in Fitzroy on Sunday October 20th. Artists playing at the launch are The Rebelles, Hayley Couper, Valentiine and Rosie Burgess. Be sure to come down early to catch our local female art exhibition to get the night underway :)

This time around we are seeking funding for the CD production, it's launch and associated promotion, and some pretty awesome environmentally-friendly, hand-made merch. We are very excited to introduce you to 'So She Says' and are asking for YOU to be a part of our 'So She Says' family, and help to make our dream a possibility :)

Potential risks involved with 'So She Says', are securing substancial funding for the project. Alterations can be made to the delivery of the CD and it's launch, but we know how amazing this project is... and it really would be a shame to not give it the introduction that it deserves.

Personal funding will be contributed to the delivery of the project regardless as we are all passionate about ensuring the quality of it's success.

Other than that, all bases have been covered, artists been secured... as a matter of fact, the CD is all ready to be sent off for manufacturing :) Launch artists, and venue have been confirmed, along with the amazing local female graphic artists for the mini exhibition that will accompany the launch.
