We're a proudly independent band, we've got an awesome manager, we've got a distribution deal with MGM, and we're preparing for the release of our next EP. We've had some success with the first single from the EP, 'Someone Else'. It spent 4 weeks in the top 10 of the Airit charts and was added to spot rotation on Triple J.

We've finished the recording for this EP already. The recording process has been great, and we've worked with some awesome musicians and producers to get the job done. Peter G (Golden Sound) and Paulie B (The Beautiful Girls, George) have produced 3 of 5 songs from the EP. Our drummer Beau has produced the other two. So we've got the songs recorded... what next?
Well, that's our problem you see - we've spent all of our savings on having the songs recorded, and we haven't got the money to get this release across the line.

What's the plan?
We're glad you asked. Below is a very straight forward break down of our costs for this release – this is where your money will be going should you choose to back us.
Mixing - $1,200
Mastering - $1,200
Vinyl Pressing - $1,500
CD Pressing - $500
Publicity - $1,500
Film Clip - $1,000
Total - $6,900

We’re big believers in supporting our local music scene and industry, and so everything we’re doing (other than vinyl pressing) will be sourced from local Brisbane artists, artisans and businesses. Vinyl pressing will be done offshore, in either USA or France – this is because Australia has only one vinyl pressing plant on its soil, and it works out to be much more cost effective to press and ship records from overseas.
Throughout this campaign, we’ll be keeping you updated with as much info as possible. It’s our mission to be as transparent as we can to assure you that your money is going to all of the right places. We’ll be revealing the names of our secret producers over the coming months, as well as a few sneak previews of their remixes.

The Challenges
One risk which we face is for the prices of vinyl record pressing could change. Depending on the supplier we get the records from, the price will be variable. In this case, the band will put in our own money to make up for the difference.
Another variable cost is that of the film clip. Depending on the amount of work which is necessary on this, and our concept, this price is likely to change. We have already accounted for this though, and this situation will be dealt with in much the same way as the price of our records changing. The band will bridge the gap with our own money.
