SO WHAT IS MAGE?
Mage is an adventure platform game similar to the old Metroid games. There are numerous rooms to navigate, abilities to unlock, bosses to beat and a funny and immersive story line. The aim of the game is to escape from the dungeon while coming to terms with being possesed by an ancient evil ghost. This evil ghost displays his hatred for the player by using constant insults and mocking statements at every chance he gets. The game itself has several achievements, a challenge mode and several hours of original gameplay.
THAT SOUNDS COOL, WHAT IS THE STORY?
Our story begins with Mage, an inaptly named wizard in training. He may try hard but his magical abilities are... severely lacking and can be comparable to that of a garden snail. Not happy with his magical abilities (or lack of), he decides to track down and claim the ancient spellbooks of Daos - an evil wizard from a long forgotten age.
In his quest to find the books, he unwittingly breaks a crystal that has been housing the ghost of Daos and is consequently possessed for his troubles. Unable to leave the dungeon due to protective barriers, Daos forces the player to track down the spellbooks in order to gain enough power to break down the barrier and set them both free.
THAT'S AWESOME! BUT WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM POZIBLE?
There are three things we plan to do with the money raised here.
1. Advertise our game on several platforms to reach as many people as possible before the release.
2. With the added funding we will be able to add in more levels and features than in the original design.
3. More funding means more time that we will dedicate towards creating support for Windows and Android devices.
THAT ALL SOUNDS PRETTY REASONABLE, WHEN WILL THE GAME BE FINISHED?
The game is very close to completion at the moment. If we reach our funding goals, the work can be done as quick as possible and the game can be released within a month, if not sooner.
THIS GAME SOUNDS GREAT AND I WOULD LIKE TO HELP... BUT WHY ARE MOST OF THE DONATION TIERS $1 SHORT OF A ROUNDED NUMBER?
Good question! On all tiers that are $1 off from a nice rounded number, the game is not included. This is because Apple only allows developers a certain number of free versions to give away and, those people that recieve those versions are not allowed to write reviews. So, with this in mind, I would like you to hold on to that dollar. Put it aside and when the game is released, use that dollar to buy the game for yourself and write us a fantastic review.
