The first of a series of comic book biographies on influential directors, this issue will focus on the career of director Peter Jackson. It provides an illustrated background to the problems overcome to create his early films and leads up until (but not including in this issue at least) the making of the Lord of the Rings.
It will be printed by Ka-Blam digital printing and made available on Indyplanet as both a print on demand comic book and digital download, with a colour cover and 20 pages of black and white artwork.

While unauthorized biographies are permitted and the legality of comic biographies being established in 1990 with Todd Loren's Revolutionary comics, I will not be reproducing any photographs, other artists artwork, trademarked or licensed images and logos or text from online or printed sources. This may lead some people to feel that I am not being authentic by my rendition of some of Peter Jackson's characters. However, this a necessity if I am to maintain copyright over the work and avoid legal complications.

As a film maker I often find myself talking to actors and producers about the work of certain directors without realizing they have no idea who or what I'm talking about. Now I can give them a comic that explains everything I want them to know.

A signed printed comic hot off the press and a signed page of original A3 penciled or inked artwork that looks something like these images. Please note that I draw with pencil on paper, ink with a pen on a light box and scan the images in. These pages contain spelling mistakes, omissions, large areas with crosses that are later filled in black etc. However, they are one of a kind.
