What is Fiend Fest?
Fiend Fest started last year, with it's flagship event in Melbourne. It was a 1 day festival with performances by international bands Hocico and Hanzel Und Gretyl plus heaps of awesome Australian bands, an alternative fashion parade, a huge markets area and an art gallery with smaller sideshow events on Sydney & Brisbane. This year we want to expand the event with bigger bands and more to do over more dates and more cities!

What is Pozible?
Pozible is an Australian crowdfunding site, similar to Kickstarter. It allows fans of an idea to help make it a reality by pledging funds, usually in return for awesome and interesting rewards. The pledges are only billed if/when the campaign makes it's target, so only ideas that people really want to happen get any money. You can check out our Pozible campaign page here:

Why crowdfunding?
We've been putting on gigs in these genres for almost a decade. Each tour requires tens of thousands of dollars in flights, visas and promotion to be paid up front. This obviously limits the scope and scale of what tours we can put on based on how much money we have personally available. We're not big companies and we don't have big backers, we're music fans just like you so that money is limited. Crowdfunding allows us to augment the funds we already have which gives us the ability to put on bigger shows with bands that might normally be a little out of our reach. It also allows us to gauge the support in the community for these tours in advance, helping us bring you the shows you really want!

What kind of rewards are on offer?
Mainly there's ticket pledges for the events, these pledges allow our early supporters to pledge money in return tickets that will be $10-20 cheaper than the retail tickets when they go on sale. The earlier you get in the cheaper it is! But that's not all, there's VIP experiences, t-shirts, posters and even an ultimate fanatic pack.
For businesses there are also several levels of sponsorship available with varying levels of exposure available for your brand.

Who is on the lineup?
That's the most exciting question! The answer is: The more money we raise the more bands we can add tot he lineup. So far we're very happy to have raised enough to announce Clan of Xymox and Leæther Strip as well as local support acts Novakill (Brisbane show), Shiv-r (Sydney show) and SNOG (Melbourne show). We're also very close to being able to announce our third international, who will be a massive oldschool Industrial act from North America. Plus there'll be more local and interstate bands on each city... Make pledges and spread the word to hear more!

Lineup Announcements

Balancing the lineup to create the all encompassing vibe is probably our greatest challenge. We want this event to be accessible to all stripes of alternative punters, having a lineup that represents the interests of as many of the relevant sub-genres of music will be key to the festivals success. Every dollar pledged brings us closer to this goal.
