A four day fusion of faith and hip hop culture!
UpRock is an annual Australian Christian Hip-Hop Summit celebrating it's third year in November 2013. It is put together by a network of faith-based hip-hop ministry groups called Krosswerdz, who hold events around Australia all year in Sydney, Central Coast, Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, South-East QLD, ACT and even Wagga Wagga but is held in Belmore, Sydney.
In previous years we've been blessed to see peeps from across the globe come together to share, network, collaborate and be inspired.
Previous participants have described Uprock as "the best weekend of my life" and "a life changing experience" - and we hope this year is bigger and better than ever.
As a way of raising funds to make this happen, we are pre-selling tickets as part of a crowd funding campaign through Pozible.
Over the weekend of UpRock we have many guests and members of the Krosswerdz family presenting workshops in many areas of Hip-Hop from Dance, Production, Performance, Ministry, Music Business, DJing, etc.
As well as these, we'd like to try and raise extra funds in the way of exclusive one-on-one unique experiences with the guest presenters who can offer their skills and time as added extras over the weekend.
These would include things like one on one workshops (music tuition and experience based), exclusive product (eg. signed CD's, personal art pieces)
This is whats going down:
Friday 8 Nov: workshops throughout the day in all elements of hip hop + christian leadership, presented by leading national and international artists. That night we'll have our first Uprock gig showcasing leading Christian emcees and dancers.
Saturday 9 Nov: another great selection of workshops, followed by our premier gig.
Sunday 10 Nov: join us for church in the park at 10am, followed by an urban arts festival for the local community - including a 3 on 3 breaking comp
Monday 11 Nov: the official networking day at the beach
Cost
* $150 for all four days or $80 per day for Friday or Saturday events.
* Young people can be sponsored for $100 - Please feel free to sponsor or contribute towards a sponsorship for a young person
The conference fee covers all summit events including workshops, concerts, Park Jam, networking day, the legendary Uprock Compilation album, event t-shirt, plus lunch on Friday and Saturday.
The Challenges
If we don't reach our goal for this event - then you will need to purchase tickets manually (as in previous years) through direct deposit.
All rewards will be cancelled and you will not be charged.
Hopefully we can reach our goal as not only will it help us with securing ticket sales before the event to fund acommodation, travel, and other related expenses, but it will also offer unique experiences and networking opportunities for attendees that would not be available elsewhere.

Pre-purchase your tickets to the Friday or Saturday concerts if you're not attending the whole summit. There will only be a limited amount available to those not attenting the whole summit, so be sure to purchase this right away! Choose a quantity of 2 for both nights. Friday night is headlined by Scribbling Idiots. Saturday night is headlined by Propaganda.
