End of the Line is a one-day community arts festival held in the small town of Belgrave, in the Dandenong Ranges about an hour out of Melbourne, Australia.
The main objective of the festival is to develop opportunities and connections between artists and the wider community, bringing people together and strengthening community spirit by celebrating the abundance of artistic talent the region has to offer.
The inaugural festival in 2012 featured more than 40 musicians over 5 stages, all donating their talents for the greater cause of sharing and celebrating the arts.
Over 200 artists collaborated in 25 exhibitions that took over the most unusual spaces throughout the town, including local shops, alleyways and even the laundromat!
Street performances, sculpture installations, a makers market with 50 stalls, workshops, demonstrations and theatre performances all took place on the day, attracting an estimated 5000 people!
After overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants, local traders and the public alike this year's event is shaping up to be bigger and better!
