The Rizzeria is a collective of self publishers and print makers in Sydney, Australia. 

The Rizzeria machine is a stencil press - What is stencil printing you ask? Stencil printing has a unique and beautiful quality. It’s not screen printing or offset printing ~ it’s stencil printing and it prints with paints!

Recently the Rizzeria machine had a BAD accident and could not be resuscitated. We are crowdsourcing to buy a new machine and get the print runs rolling again and be able to teach more people how to use it and get printing more Riso prints!

The Rizzeria collective uses a Riso RP3700 which prints one colour at a time from a selection of nine spot colours. With the RP3700 we can print on many different paper stocks making the printing of small books, CD inserts, street posters, flyers and more completely possible.

The Rizzeria has changed the face of printing in Sydney. In recent years you might have noticed the brightly coloured zines donning the tables at zine fairs - as opposed to the dreary black and white copies of past times. 

We have run workshops at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Blacktown Arts Centre, Sydney College of the Arts, Westmead Children's Hospital and more and taught HEAPS of people how to print on the machine and make wonderful things!


We are at a loss without a machine and are constantly fielding requests from disappointed people who want to print on the machine - can you help us out?
