"I think I'm a Poof" is an adult children's book about a young boy coming out of the closet to his father. Reflective of our new-age perspective on sexuality, the father warns his son of the troubles he may face from bullies at school- but also describes the exciting lifestyle and opportunities that come with being gay.

The book aims to share a light-hearted and humorous interpretation of an often daunting experience, painting homophobic bullies as fairy-tale villains and highlighting the glamorous light at the end of the dark tunnel that is high school.

Written by Samuel Leighton-Dore and illustrated by UTS student Lucy Turnbull, we're seeking the funds necessary to complete the books illustrations and print a number of hard-cover prototypes which will be sent to both Australian and International publishers. We aim to have the book published and distributed to bookstores around the country and overseas.
