We are Beachtree Distilling Co., a craft distillery based on the Sunshine Coast; this is our story. 

The Gin

Our base spirit is made from certified organically grown sugar cane. There are no pesticides or chemicals, and the cane is harvested with sustainable practices. We believe this is kinder to your body and the land and creates a clean, crisp and smooth spirit.

Native bush foods combined with the traditional flavours of gin have been distilled to create this signature gin, the Organic Quokka Gin.

Inspired by the happiest animals on Earth—quokkas—the friendly and well-known locals who have made Western Australia’s Rottnest Island famous. 

Handcrafted in small batches at our distillery, we’ve used organically grown juniper, bilberries and mountain pepper berries, giving it a fruity berry front and warm finish. Balanced with native Australian botanicals, including lemon myrtle and finger lime, you’re left with a sweet spiced flavour. 

Just like its namesake, Quokka Gin is bound to put a smile on your face!

Our second gin on offer is the Organic Koala Gin which was inspired by walks through the Australian bush. The fresh, crisp scent of eucalyptus evokes memories of exploring and marvelling amongst nature. 

As koalas would agree, eucalyptus makes for a refreshing and clean drink. And our Koala Gin is no exception. 

Traditional juniper berries are balanced with the tasting notes of the native lemon myrtle, marshmallow leaf, lime, cinnamon and vanilla.   

Handcrafted in small batches at our distillery, Koala Gin perfectly complements a Sunday Sesh during a hot Aussie summer. 

PS. There is no eucalyptus used in the making of this gin. It has been a lengthy process of creation to avoid the harming of any eucalyptus trees in the making of our eucalyptus gin ;-) We are keeping you and the koalas safe. 

The last bottle on offer is our Tiger Quoll Vodka. 

Our Tiger Quoll vodka is loved for its silky-smooth finish.

The secret lies in our distinctive distillation and filtering process—our unique and one-of-a-kind filtration system was designed and engineered by our Head Distiller Steve. We use a sophisticated filtration system that uses activated charcoal to ensure your drink is free of impurities.

Made using organically grown sugar cane with no preservatives or fake flavours, you can rest assured, knowing you’re sipping on some of the finest ingredients. Psst. It’s also naturally gluten-free!

Our FIRST RELEASE Seltzer

These are made with our triple-distilled organic alcohol base and blended with lightly sparkling water and native infusions.

Why organic?

It would be simple to say that Kirra’s long history in the health industry fuelled the desire for the organic approach. But there are many reasons to go organic. Organic farming practices can reduce pollution, conserve water, reduce soil erosion, increase soil fertility, use less energy and make organic ingredients ethical and sustainable. Farming without the use of synthetic pesticides is also great for animals and birds.

Why use organic sugar cane as the ‘base’ spirit?

Firstly, the ‘base’ refers to the distilled spirit in which the botanicals are added via the distillation process. It is the blank slate upon which distilleries create their art, and our gin and vodka creations are certainly an expression of our creativity. 

We feel it adds a beautiful taste texture to the spirit, creating a smooth, delicious flavour. Combining this modern twist with traditional elements like juniper and cardamom creates a delightful twist to our gin. Naturally gluten-free, our organic sugar cane base contains no pesticides or chemicals and is harvested with sustainable practices. This is kinder to your body and land, and creates a cleaner, crisper spirit.

The funds, the future and the challenges in-between

We started on the path to opening a distillery in 2019.   

Little did we know that after committing to this business, that the world would change. Being able to adapt and change has presented numerous challenges along the way.  Our official opening has been delayed, but we are super excited about being able to share this journey with you all through this campaign. 

Production of the bottles has already commenced and through this campaign, we will be able to commit to their continual production as well as introducing of new low carb, low sugar Seltzer range. 

Here's what you need to do;
