Krish Prasad, is a 29-year-old scientist and poet from Mumbai, India who has been living in Melbourne since 2011, where he graduated with a Masters in Chemistry from the University of Melbourne. He has applied for residency but his visa application has been denied for technical reasons. He wishes to reapply but is short of funds.
Krish whilst he's been in the country has not only been studying but contributing the poetry community in Melbourne, performing around the city and become a vital part of the city's poetry scene. He's also been seeking to work in the field of science at universities, school or industry. In his spare time, he's been tutoring VCE students. He's also a volunteer and committee member of the spoken word organisation, Melbourne Spoken Word.
He's met many friends whilst he's here and would be missed very much if he had to leave the country.

How The Funds Will Be Used
The $1,500 will go toward his visa application, will pay for the whole application. If we raise more than that, the extra funds will go toward his permanent residency.
The Challenges
Krish's visa runs out in three weeks and so the main challenge will be to raise the funds in that time so he can be issued a bridging visa whilst he's application is being processed.
