A Tortured Mind is a 7 minute short film about cavemen being made for the Tropfest Film Festival in 2012. It was written and is being directed by Dave Wade, a South Australian house painter by trade who has somehow pulled off a part time film career with his last short film "Cropped" being nominated at the 2012 AFI Awards (now the AACTAs) for Best Short Film. It is being produced by myself, Bettina Hamilton, a SA based producer and owner of Black Cat White Rabbit Productions. We are going to be filming in late November and have been financed by Adelaide's Media Resource Centre and the South Australian Film Corporation. The budget however is still very low and we are seeking additional support to help us make the coolest cavemen comedy ever. A Tortured Mind is not just a film about cavemen though, it's about overcoming boredom, being different to everyone else and it's also a little bit about love (but the director will never admit it!)
