From the forest frontlines to the halls of parliament, Bob Brown has been taking defiant Action for Earth for half a century. 

Now, as he prepares to launch his final book, ‘Defiance’, Bob is calling on us all to stand up for wild places and wildlife.

Bob founded our organisation to empower ordinary people to take Action for the Earth. 

Today, that spirit drives everything we do, from tree-sits high in the forest canopy, to citizens peacefully obstructing industrial fishing ships and logging machines, to mass protests in the streets that roar with thousands of voices. 

Just this year, 25 brave defenders have been arrested standing up for forests and wildlife.

But none of this work is possible without the support of people like you.

This new, urgent crowdfunder will fuel our next wave of bold, frontline efforts to defend oceans, forests, and Takayna.

And there is no time to lose.

🌳 Takayna’s ancient rainforests will be buried beneath toxic sludge, with Environment Minister Murray Watt poised to greenlight mining-giant MMG’s waste dump.

🪵 Forestry Tasmania is about to begin destroying World Heritage value forests in the Styx Valley of the Giants while continuing to log Swift Parrot habitat and ancient forests across the state.
🦅 The massive Robbins Island wind farm is set to decimate endangered birds on one of the world's most important migration routes.

🐨 Forests needed by koalas, Greater Gliders and Powerful Owls in NSW are being destroyed by the state-owned logging agency, Forestry Corporation. 

🌊 Toxic fish farms in Macquarie Harbour are pushing the Maugean Skate to extinction.

⛴️ Krill, the foundation of the Antarctic foodweb, are being hoovered out of the ocean by industrial krill supertrawlers. 

So much of the natural world has been lost. Unless we draw some solid lines and defend them fiercely, what’s left will be destroyed by a thousand cuts.

📢 Nationwide mobilisation for forests – In early 2026, we’ll fill the streets across the country, demanding an end to native forest logging. You can help fund the promotions and equipment needed to turn out thousands.

🐟 Actions on the water to expose and confront the toxic salmon industry in Tasmania. This year, our shocking images of live fish sealed into bins with dead fish amidst a disease outbreak caused the RSPCA to revoke their certification of Huon Aquaculture. Help us keep eyes on the water. 

🐋 Our campaign to end krill fishing – We’re taking on the companies profiting from the plunder of krill in Antarctica. Your pledge helps us fight this destructive industry.
