Josie and the Emeralds is a highly acclaimed viol consort with the fabulous soprano Josie Ryan. For the past 3 years we have been performing rarely heard gems from the Renaissance as well as fascinating new works chosen for their high musical values and audience appeal. We are halfway towards recording our debut CD. Help us to bring this CD into the world, and take Josie and The Emeralds into your home, your car and into your playlists. The Renaissance works on this CD will include beautiful songs by John Dowland, Orlando Gibbons, William Byrd and Thomas Tallis. The contemporary works include CD recording premieres by Elena Kats-Chernin, Ross Edwards, Will Ayton, Andrea Pandolfo and Brooke Green.
We would love to complete this project, and 'Flow my tears' will tearfully flow if we do not reach our target!

How The Funds Will Be Used
Our minimum target is $5000 which pays for
engineering: $1100
production, mixing, mastering: $2500
licence fees: $400
advertising: $1000
If we exceed that and reach $5700 we can pay the guest musicians: Belinda Montgomery, Laura Vaughan, Jacques Emery, Anthea Cottee.
If we reach $6700 we can also pay the core musicians: Josie Ryan, Brooke Green, Fiona Ziegler, Laura Moore, Catherine Upex, Margo Adelson.
If we exceed that, the money will go towards our second CD. We already have plans!
