MELBOURNE FILMMAKERS TO REPRESENT AUSTRALIA AT BERLIN FILM FESTIVAL
Tomorrow’s Lovers , a short film by director duo Folie à Deux (Top Australian fashion photographer Christian Blanchard and filmmaker Steven Protuder) and producer Dean Drieberg will be screened at the 2013 Berlin Fashion Film Festival and is the only Australian film selected for the Festival and nominated for a possible 10 prizes. The directors have been invited to host a separate screening of the film along with a Q&A session.
This film has already seen local and international success winning the LMFF Fashion Film series and screening at the Centre Pompidou in Paris as the only Australian film selected for A Shaded View On Fashion Film Festival in 2012.
Tomorrow’s Lover’s was commissioned by the City of Melbourne and Melbourne Spring Fashion
Week to showcase Melbourne’s best emerging design talent. The film was screened during Melbourne Spring Fashion Week as part of the Emerging Designer Series. Staring prominent Australian models Louise Van de Vorst and Dean Bartlett, the eight minute short was filmed at iconic Melbourne locations such as Melbourne Town Hall, the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant, Fitzroy Gardens, inner-city bars and laneways.
The film makers have been invited to attend the Berlin Fashion Film Festival and awards ceremony. Additionally they have been requested for a special screening of their film to be followed by a Q&A. This is an exciting opportunity for them to represent Australia and talk about the film, fashion industry and local emerging design talent.
Tomorrow's Lovers is nominated for several awards which the filmmakers would love to accept in person if they won. Your pledge will provide the opportunity of a lifetime by helping to take the film makers to Berlin, money raised will cover the basic essentials of flights and accommodation.
