In the middle of winter 2022, I decided I'd sit down one day every week and write a song, see if I could sing my way out of what had become a very difficult year for me. I wrote one song a week for ten weeks. These songs became my new album. 

I'm really proud of these songs, and I'm really excited to share them with you. I'm also terrified to share them with you. 

Why?

I'm a story-singer - I tend to sing other people's stories - but this album is something of my story. This is me. I would kind of prefer to either keep this to myself, or just self-produce it and get it out there, away from me. But if this year has taught me anything, it's that my usual ways of working don't necessarily do me any favours. So I'm trying something new. I'm inviting you in and asking for your help.
