Hi. We are Denis and Emma Merkas… and we are all about helping couples fall a little more in love with each other.

For seven years now, we’ve been teaching couples how to massage each other in the name of love, trust, reconnection and, quite frankly – a bit of cheeky fun!

Actually, it was these massage seminars that sparked our own relationship in the first place… we’ve been together ever since, and married almost five years now. All these years later, we still love teaching other couples how to give each other a really good back rub.

For years, we’ve looked at the best way to take our teachings beyond Melbourne so that couples everywhere can get involved. Then we hit on the idea of filming it to video and making it available for instant download from the web. This way couples can play with our techniques in the comfort of their own lounge room.

We need your help to fund the production of these videos. It’s important to us that they are beautiful and visually stunning, so they will be a decadent experience just to watch and learn from them. We’ve found a very talented cinematographer and director in Los Angeles and have scheduled shooting there for February 2014.

When you put these videos on your TV, it will be like having us right there teaching you the techniques. It will be a great night in for two, and best of all once you’ve learned the massage techniques, you can spoil each other with them forever. You and your sweetie will love it.

Intimacy is the kind of thing that needs to be constantly nurtured and developed in a relationship. One out of every three couples is unsatisfied with the level of intimacy in their lives. Massage is a very loving, very natural way to help build and maintain intimacy, and trust, in a relationship.

It may sound like a simple solution, but some of the best solutions are the most simple. Massage is powerful stuff, particularly between two people who are in love.

We also know that learning new things together as a couple is great for reconnection, as is just spending good, old-fashioned quality time together.

We love watching couples warm up to each other during our live seminars. What starts out as nervousness and sometimes even just complete disengagement ends up being hugs, kisses on the cheeks and warm, loving looks. Right before our very eyes. Take this out of the classroom experience and behind closed doors and we can only imagine the sparks flying!

For all these reasons and more, we want couples everywhere to have a little massage in their lives. And we know exactly how to help!

Most couples love the idea of massaging each other. But in reality, if you don’t know what you’re doing then it won’t exactly turn out to be the romantic experience you’re imagining.

We’ve interviewed hundreds of couples over the years – if you don’t know what you’re doing when you’re giving a massage, it hurts. Your hands and thumbs get sore quickly. Your back gets sore from massaging in an awkward position. You get bored after five minutes and you’re not entirely sure what you should be doing.

Our courses address these problems. With just a few simple tricks and techniques, we show you where to rub, how to rub and exactly what to do to make your partner melt in your hands. By the end of the teachings, you’ll be able to give your partner a wonderful 20-minute massage – we even include massage routines so you can follow along… it’s foolproof! This is information that has been honed and developed over seven years of experience teaching couples, month in and month out. Our content is completely G-rated - this is not tantra, and there will be no nudity. It's all class, all the way.

How You Can Get Involved

There are a few ways you can help out and get involved with this campaign...

1. Back this Pozible campaign and share it with anyone and everyone you think would be interested in what we’re doing via social media, word of mouth, email and skywriter!

2. If you have media connections that would be interested in covering our massage courses or this Pozible campaign, we’d love a warm intro!

3. Follow us on our Facebook and Twitter pages and sign up for updates, we’ll be posting updates and behind the scenes footage as we go on this exciting journey.

Sharing and talking about these courses helps us reach a wider audience. The more couples that can benefit from our courses, the better. We want it out there! We want you all giving each other back rubs all the time! Email us anytime if you have questions during this campaign, we'll get back to each and every person.

How The Funds Will Be Used

To get this project off the ground, we need your help! We already have our flights and accommodation covered for LA but the production itself has a few specific needs. It will be a five-day shoot to get all our content down onto video. Because of the high quality we are looking for in our production, we’ll be hiring a professional crew to shoot this with us. The budget includes the following:

1. Hiring a professional cinematographer: We’ve found an amazing artist in Los Angeles that to film these videos and make them breathtakingly beautiful, classy and tasteful.
2. Hiring a crew: A five-day shoot of this calibre will require additional crew for sound, assistant direction, hair and make up, etc.
3. Voiceover artists: We’re future-proofing this production, which means that as well as Denis talking to camera, much of the massage instruction will be a voiceover. This means we can produce the tutorials in other languages in future without needing to reshoot.
4. Studio hire and set dressing: We’ll be shooting in a stunning warehouse style studio. The set will require some dressing and props.
5. Music: We’ll need to purchase some royalty free music, or have some written for us to lay down a soundtrack to this video.

The Challenges

Apart from Den's hands meeting an untimely demise by being cut off by a light saber or eaten by a shark, we think we've got this (Hand insurance may be in order, though).

Once these videos are produced, we will need to have them edited, which we have already started to put money aside for. The only potential challenge we see from here is that the editing and final launch date may be delayed, but we will do everything in our power to make sure they are ready by mid-2014.
