My name is Erik Yvon and I am an independent designer based in Melbourne. The label ERIK-YVON creates a dynamic combination of elements; colours, shape and texture. Garments with soul for her and him are inspired by bold themes from my Mauritian heritage. This POZIBLE campaign will help launch my label to the next level and help with production costs. Help me make my dreams come true.
The label has a strong focus on quality, sustainability and ethical practice that embraces exchange with local rag traders. We are proudly designed and made in Australia. I see my garments as stories of their own creation. It takes a community to construct a garment. I have created a community around me that I work closely with, they are local printers, spinners and manufacturers. Relationships and support are important when you rely on many elements coming together.
As a young designer I aspire to gear away from fast fashion trends and create garments which are thoughtful and transeasonal. Being mindful of its footprint on our planet,the garments are produced at a low scale and we only consume what we need. We want you to be part of this movement; a positive change and a fresh outlook on the fashion industry.

How The Funds Will Be Used
The funds will be used to cover a majority of the cost of production and invest in equipment required in sampling. The money raised will invested in fabric, manufacturing, printing and trims.
Our target is $5,000
Fabric: $700 fabric supplied from QRF
Production: $500 production done at TSS
Printing: $800 print services by Flockmasters
Trims and Accessories: $100 from JIMMY
Coverstitch machine: $2500 second hand coverstitch machine (why buy brand new when a secondhand works just as fine)

The Challenges
ERIK-YVON faces a huge challenge in overcoming the production phase. The samples have already been made, all that is needed now is to have them wrapped around your gorgeous bodies. Equipment/ Studio space, when the label has overcome the initial stage a better space, equipments and logistics will be invested in.
As an emerging designer, I suffer from a serious case of little guy syndrome a.k.a LACK OF BRAND AWARENESS. So go and spread the news to your friends. The more people hear about ERIK-YVON the more it will grow.
