Guildhouse is aiming to raise $50,000 as we approach our 50th year of operation to establish an interest free loan service for creative professionals. This new loan service has the potential to be a genuine life changer for people who work in the broad visual arts, craft and design sectors – providing access to interest-free loans where traditional loans or grant funding is not always available.
There are many investments required on the path to a sustainable career in the cultural sector and funding opportunities are extremely competitive — and limited in their scope and flexibility. Creative professionals generally need to work across multiple sectors, have irregular low-income streams and don’t fit into the conventional mold of a successful loan candidate.
We have received in-principle funding through Creative Partnerships Australia’s PLUS 1 program to double our fundraising efforts until May 29. We are aiming to raise most of the funds through our board members, partners and extended business networks.
We are asking you to help us raise at least $5000 towards establishing this new initiative for creatives to dive into. We hope we raise more than that here, so we can maximise the commitment from PLUS 1, increase the pool and create more opportunities for creatives.

How The Funds Will Be Used
All of the funds raised through this pozible campaign will go towards establishing an interest free loan service for creative professionals in the broad visual arts, craft and design sectors. The initial investment of $50,000 will be perpetual. As it is repaid it can then be loaned again, multiplying its value every time it is borrowed.
The loan service will provide valuable investment at pivotal moments in an artist’s career, which in turn will help boost the economic, social & cultural health of South Australia. It will support the capacity of the sector and the viability of a career in the arts, opening opportunities for creatives working in the broad visual arts, craft and design sector well into the future.
Loans will be provided to assist in the research and development of new work, for capital improvements, equipment purchases and arts projects, provided there is an arts-related outcome in the broad visual arts, craft and design sectors.
