After a 23-year absence from directing, the award-wining filmmaker Ian Pringle has returned with
The Legend Maker.
A micro-budget thriller, it tells the story of Alan Figg, an aging professional forger who provides all manner of shady clients with new identities. Business has been booming until an ambitious and menacing newcomer to the game wants to take over Figg’s operation. But no one in this game is who they seem to be.
The film will have its world premiere in August at the Melbourne International Film Festival.

The film was shot on a micro-budget, and was only possible because of the generous contribution of so many people - the cast, crew, location owners, post-production partners and so on.
We have also received an investment loan from MIFF (Melbourne International Film Festival) through its Premiere Fund to complete the film, but it's not quite enough. That's why we need your help.

Ian on set with Sachin, Fletcher and Michael, with Esteban behind the camera.
Help us pay for the insurance and some of the colour grade.
We need $5,900 to cover a shortfall in post-production, relating to the cost of insurance (called Errors & Omissions insurance) and some of the hard costs of the colour grade. It's not much compared to the overall cost of the film but we just need to sort it out.
While a kind benefactor has underwritten this expenditure to guarantee the film will be completed, we need to acquit this shortfall in the next two weeks.
