Hello there!
My name is Julia Henning, I am an independent Singer-Songwriter from Willunga, South Australia.Together with my band, I write emotive music about real life conflicts, reflections and moments captured in song.Pictured below: The cover shot for the album 'Fledgling', photo/post by Brent Leideritz
Shortly after, 'If and Only If', the second track from the EP, hit number 1 on the Triple J Unearthed Charts, much to our excitement!
Last year we recorded and released our EP 'Divisions' (pictured below).
We launched 'Divisions' over two nights of sold out performances at the Sydney Opera House.

Our shows at the Opera House were recorded live and from these recordings we are releasing a Live EP, 'Julia Henning-Live at Sydney Opera House' (pictured below). As well as an upcoming documentary by BlackWoolHoliday that follows our journey to the Opera House.
After years of writing and performing, we're ready! Ready and excited to record and release our very first album!
THE PROJECT:
'Fledgling' is the title of our debut album and will include 10 tracks of our original material.
We've worked very hard on these tracks, some of them taking over a year to complete.
The sound of the album will be a mix of raw, emotive, lyrically driven narratives, powerful and rich sound-scapes and tender folk ballads.
'Fledgling' will be recorded by Govinda Doyle (Angus & Julia Stone), at his studio in Coolangatta, QLD over 10 days in June/July.
Govinda is an incredibly inspiring person and has already had several amazing ideas for the album.
His studio is perched atop a leafy green mountain and will provide us with the space and quiet we need to reflect and develop the album.
BUDGET:
Our campaign target is set to $5,000. This is roughly 20% of the amount the album will cost to produce.
This will be enough of a leg up to get us moving in the right direction.
Any money raised over our target will continue to fund the album.
