‘Apprentice of the Year’ is a farcical short film starring, Shane Jacobson.
Rob (Shane Jacobson), an Aussie carefree builder, arrives extremely late to a renovation site he’s running. Alongside him is his new, inexperienced apprentice, Kevin.
The owner Samantha is annoyed they’re late, but relieved she can finally go to work.
Rob takes Kevin out the back and makes him get up on the most dodgy scaffold imaginable. He then hands him a nail gun without any instructions.
He goes inside the house and leaves Kevin outside to do all the work with no supervision. He would be in big trouble if Samantha came home and saw what he was getting up to….inside her bedroom!
But he’s way too clever for that, or is he?
Samantha does unexpectedly come home and he must make it out of her bedroom without being noticed at any cost… even at the cost of the apprentice!
But this time maybe Rob has gone too far to get away with it…
This comedic short film is for anyone who has ever been exploited by their boss!
