Please help us get our Retreat open to the public by Easter 2015! Located within the shire of Dandaragan, Western Australia and it will be the first of its kind in Australia!
What are some of your earliest memories? Perhaps going away on a holiday with your brother, sister or best friends? Imagine if you couldn't go away without someone else’s help. There are no facilities suitable for you or your loved ones as you need wheelchair friendly accommodation. You or a family member has a terminal illness and you all just need to get away from it all to simply unwind and relax. You are a foster carer and want to take the children that you care for on a short break?
At our proposed Retreat once completed all these people will be able to enjoy what many families around Australia already do. Go on a holiday!!
The Retreat is a project dreamt up by a group of people who are passionate about improving the lives of people that are the most vulnerable and need a break from their everyday hurdles.
The retreat once open will begin taking bookings from anyone around the world who would benefit from the Retreat. The Retreat will be offered without charge for four nights per family. The retreat will not be means tested, and each application will be considered on merits.
For some of these broad groups of people that we are hoping to help, it will be the first time they have ever experienced a holiday. Something that most of us take for granted. To stay at the retreat will be either free or by way of donation, depending on peoples circumstances.
Every donation counts and will open up a world of new opportunities for children and adults with disability, terminally ill people, disadvantaged children and war veterans.
The Retreat is set on 1200 acres in the picturesque shire of Dandaragan WA. Within driving distance to the world renowned Pinnacles as well as an abundance of flora and fauna.
The property we are establishing this retreat on already has
* 8 Secluded self-contained chalets.. 4 of them are 2 bedrooms and 4 of them are 1 bedrooms
* Caravan park with 20 sites with pool and all facilities
* Restaurant for 100 patrons
* commercial kitchen
* Conference hall
* Private air strip (day & night) built to RFD Standards (in case of an emergency the Royal Flying Dr can land their plane right on the property.)

Our Vision
Our vision is to enhance the positive quality of individuals and families and strengthening the community by providing holiday accommodation as well as recreational and leisure areas that are consistently available, accessible, and responsive to the needs of individuals, families, and groups seeking assistance, be it from a terminal illness, disability, a war veteran, or underprivileged children and to work with the community to contribute, facilitate, and promote solutions for the enrichment of all. To organize educational, cultural and social events to uplift and involve people within the community; provide for recreation and social interaction for people within the community; to support people experiencing financial hardship within the community.

How The Funds Will Be Used
To get the retreat up and running we are seeking funds to:
Pay for the property
Convert four of the existing cabins into proper disability appropriate cabins.
Set up a conservatory for growing vegetables, fruit and other plants.
Create a small animal farm so people visiting can interact with the animals and help feed them and best of all cuddle them.
Build a playground including a specialized Wheelchair swing. The award-winning Liberty Swing – the world's safest and most recognized swing for children and adults in wheelchairs.
The Liberty Swing is both therapeutic and fun!
Design and build a mini golf course.
Plant lots of fruit trees. And when in flower people visiting can wonder out and take fruit straight from the trees and enjoy.
If we raise the full amount we have already saved up $60,000 of our own money to pay for the fees that we are required to pay Pozible and Paypal.
We can save money in fees if you pay via your credit card and not through paypal.
If we raise more than the 2 million we are asking for we hope to have enough money to put in a Hydrotherapy pool with wheelchair lift. Here is the video on the hydrotherapy pool we will get if we raise over the amount :)

1.) Sourcing all materials at the best possible price, and making sure the cabins specialized for the disabled comply with Australian standards
2.) A short build time; between the finish of this campaign and the beginning of Opening in time for Easter 2015, it's going to be a rapid build.
3.) Motivating all my beautiful friends & community to support our initiative. {That's YOU!} Yes we know we are asking for a huge amount of money. No one ever in the world has ever asked for this amount of money before via crowd-funding and we hope to be a huge success and raise double what we are asking for. It is a lot to try and raise but if we do raise this amount it would mean so much to all the people that this retreat is going to help.
Other than that we are feeling very confident about this project.
It's really only step one in a series of retreats that we hope to be able to build over the coming years. Now there's a challenge...
