My name is Lisa King and I am a South Australian Mural Artist. Firstly, I want to say thank you for taking the time out to read, share and back my Pozible campaign. I am launching this campaign in order to raise money for an Independent Street Art Project which will be a series of Large Scale Murals created over the course of approx 12-18 months in Adelaide, South Australia. Along with this we will be working with Film Maker Aaron Schuppan to create one of Adelaides first Street Art Documentaries.
"Lisa King's Walls of Wonderment" is not only a celebration of Female Street Art and creativity World Wide but will show Socially engaging and Aesthetically Innovative Public Art across the city and surrounding suburbs. It will be a contributing factor to the vitality of the South Australian Arts, Culture and Tourism and will be produced over the course of 12 - 18 months starting in November / December 2016. With the walls ranging from approx 10 meters to 30 metres in size this project will be the first of its kind in Adelaide by a female artist and the first of this scale as a series to be independently managed and fundraised by a Female Street Artist in Australia. I will not only be contributing to the Adelaide Street Art scene in general but to a larger and steadily growing movement that is blossoming across the Nation as we speak.
With the support from local residents and businesses along with many months of solid meetings with property developers and managers I have secured approx half a dozen walls to be the canvases to this most unique outdoor exhibition. As part of outcome , the completed walls will be on display as a Registered Fringe Exhibition 2017 accompanied by an artist talk. I will create a personal approach to talking to the public about my process, conceptual stage, pre production. technical abilities and the inspirations behind each work.
This Campaign is here to raise funds for the project outgoings including Access Machinery, Development Approvals & Licenses, Materials, Insurance, Film Maker (Aaron Schuppan) & Artist fee's. I would like to mention the significance of the various forms of in kind to this project by supporting businesses already (including the past 3 months of project management by myself) and also bringing to the pledgers attention that my main objective is to build a new and significant body of work with an outcome that holds no extensive financial Gain. A project of this scale commercially can be seen sitting between $50 - $200k (*statistics based) but with my willingness to work on a tight budget and my passionate approach I am seeking between $15k (for minimum) - $40k (for the whole series to be produced)
Whats a project without support from your community right? And do people believe in what I am wanting to achieve? You bet ya! I have been lucky enough to be given the most significant amount of support including in kind (walls, access & materials) on top of documents supporting this project. I am happy to announce a few.... Adelaide Fringe, Renewal SA, Hindmarsh, Well Made, Young Henrys, First Coat Street Art Festival, Mitolo Wines & Atkins Print.
Don’t miss the chance to see large and colorful street art come to life over the course of the coming year, and even more don’t miss the opportunity to help keep the Public Arts flourishing in South Australia by supporting me and this monumental project by pledging now.
Thanks for stopping by, your consideration towards this campaign and most importantly your generosity!

The Challenges
With large scale murals sitting in the higher end of project production these days the opportunity to paint at this size from commmissions is very few and far between which is why I really need to independantly manage this project and riase the funds myself through Pozible . My major obstacle will be raising the money to produce the whole series at $40k. I have Specifically Chosen to run this project through Pozible because I believe it will provide me with the opportunity and a platform to really push above and beyond for those end reults. I am going to fight for this project but I need just a little help from you all along the way.
Social Media +
As a big fat thankyou we would like to give you a fab shout out on all our social media outlets, pr and the website when the project launches.
