I’m Michelle Pearson, a singer, songwriter and performer based in South Australia. I have performed in musicals such as Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, ensemble cabaret shows, numerous bands and special events such as singing the national anthem at the 2012 Australia Day Gala to a 20,000+ audience.
Michelle and The Gentlemen’s Club will be my debut solo concert, to be held over two nights during the Adelaide Fringe 2013 at The Governor Hindmarsh, Adelaide, and Fox Creek Wines, McLaren Vale. I’ll be performing a sultry suite of cabaret, jazz and blues, musical theatre and rock, backed by The Gentlemen’s Club – a cookin’ quartet comprising Milush Piochaud, Chris Neale, Alex Wignall and Max Garcia-Underwood – and an orchestra hand-picked and directed by the award-winning Peter Johns.
Featuring 20 musicians and crew, such ambitious concerts bring considerable costs, both in staging and to ensure all involved are paid fairly for supporting this defining moment in my music career. These concerts are designed to further propel my career and put me in front of the people who can potentially make things happen; this is why I need to do it well.
To ensure tickets are priced reasonably at under $30, I need your help to raise a further $6000. This money will ensure Michelle and The Gentlemen’s Club will be presented at its very best. Specifically, it will fund the considerable staging ($3000), sound and lighting ($2000) required to host the orchestra and band outdoors at Fox Creek Wines, and a small part of the musicians’ rehearsal fees.
