Open House Melbourne (OHM) is a not for profit organisation that has been opening doors around Melbourne since 2008. OHM is a volunteer run organisation, and it is only possible for us to keep the weekend free every year with the generous support of our sponsors, partners and volunteers. We're reaching out to you because we are hoping to raise an extra $15,000 to help us make the leap to open 111 buildings in 2013. We have put together some great benefits in appreciation of your support.
We have grown the event over the past 6 years from opening 8 buildings in our initial year, to opening 100 buildings in 2012. Open House Melbourne will be taking place on the 27 & 28 July in 2013, and we are aiming for 111 buildings open to the public.
Open House Melbourne celebrates the city and promotes the value of architecture, urban planning and heritage protection through a free public event. Buildings and spaces that people do not normally get to access are opened over one weekend. From contemporary architecture to historic buildings, iconic buildings and spaces are opened for the public to explore.
