I'm a 26-year-old Go player from Poland, and I have started building a platform that will change the way of booking online Go lessons all over the world.

Why am I qualified to handle this project?

I have been listening to feedback from Go students and teachers since October 2018. This platform is the answer to those student and teacher needs!

I have also been intensively studying business and marketing for the last one-and-a-half years.

Throughout this time, I have repeatedly read that listening to customers is the most important part of building and maintaining a business.

What is polgote.com?

The company polgote.com was founded by Mateusz Surma in 2017. For over four years, it ran many Go-related businesses, including

• Provided Online Go school.
• Offered various group Go lessons, both online and offline.
• Sold recorded online Go courses.
• Organized individual online Go lessons.
• Published nine Go books in five language versions.
• Distributed Go equipment (wholesale).
• Sold Go equipment and Go books (retail).
• Organized Go tournaments.

So far, over 180 paying students and 15 teachers have taken part in the online Go lessons organized at polgote.com.

What are the problems of Go students and teachers?

Over recent years I have received a lot of information about students' and teachers' challenges and problems while studying and teaching Go.

And finally, I understood that improving in Go is not the main problem.

The main problem is improving in Go as much as possible while investing in it as short a time as possible.

A teacher can try to develop their own teaching skills. These will help them become a better teacher; thus, their students will be able to learn faster.

However, unnecessary communication, repetition in communication with various teachers/students, the process of finding suitable teachers, the process of booking lessons, changes in schedules, lesson cancellations, payments, searching for recorded videos from lessons - these things also take time.

The easier they are, and the less time they take, the better the ratio of "improvement vs. invested time."

When will the platform start to work?

If the crowdfunding is successful, the platform is projected to launch in December 2021.

What happens after making a pledge?

The pledged money will be frozen on your card.

If the crowdfunding is successful, i.e., if we collect $40,000, the frozen money will be moved to the platform's bank account.

If the crowdfunding fails, your money will be unfrozen, and you will be able to use it again.
