On Thursday 9 April 2015 Noosa QLD witnessed 2 historic marches on the day Tony Abbott PM came to Noosa for lunch.



The Noosa Love Parade Marriage Equality March and the Land Rights March were documented by several professional photographers.



Kate described what happened:
"Sometimes you are so moved your body is covered in goosebumps and your eyes are filled with tears.
Today at the Noosa Love Parade, our rainbow collective gathered in Noosa Wood. 
Our group listened on to our speakers, our rainbow flags held high as the chanting from down the street became louder and louder.....and closer and closer.
The chants became words and I could see a large group coming from behind the trees towards us.
Gulp.
From behind the trees came a massive group of Indigenous people, their flags held high with pride and as they smiled and waved, our rainbow collective returned the loving gestures.
"We knew you were here so we thought we'd join ya" says one fearless leader!
I was covered in goosebumps as the Aboriginal flag entwined our rainbow flags and we became one.
This was the most amazing experience, as "others" we joined and together we were one.
We marched the streets chanting to Abbott to have a heart because clearly he has forgotten.
As we walked back from the beach the two groups chanted together, chants for the traditional land owners and chants for marriage equality.
Then we realised we had the biggest point in common.
We just want to be equal for who we are."

We need to raise $1000 to print up a curated selection of these amazing photographs and to hold an exhibition on the Sunshine Coast QLD to create a permanent record of the day. $700 will be used for the printing of 15 X A2 board mounted photos and $300 will be used for postage, transport, advertising and catering for the proposed exhibition at a Sunshine Coast venue.

As with all project there are always challenges to be overcome. Demand for exhibition space is always at a premium and we expect there could be delays in hosting our exhibition in 2015. We have successfully made a request for a Eumundi exhibition venue and have approached several more with our idea.
