Hi, my name is Sam, I am a singer songwriter from Melbourne Australia. I love creating music and have been writing songs and performing music for nearly 20 years [insert picture of blood, sweat and tears here:] In that time I have had the privilege and fortune to be able to share my music all over the globe. I have recorded on over 15 albums including recording 2 of my own solo albums '6 Degrees' and 'We Trip Over Things'
I have also shared my musical journey with super cool friends and incredible musicians in bands such as 'Fruit' and the 'Rosie Burgess Trio'.

And golly gosh, it has been many moons since i have recorded any of my solo material and so finally, at the beginning of the year, i started working on a brand new album called 'How You See Me'. The album has been recorded with my dear friend (and task master) producer Aurora Jane at Mojo Junction here in Melbourne. I am so proud to have worked with incredible musicians such as Tim Bennett on Bass and Marley Berry-Pearce on drums, as well as Aurora Jane on electric guitars, Dan Brown and Rosie Burgess playing keys and piano. The songs have taken on such new depth with the amount of work we have put in. I am super stoked with the result so far and am bopping up and down as i type this because i want to share it with YOU!!!
As well as Mojo Junction we have made use of other incredible studio's such as Crosstown studios, Sunshine Recorder Studio's, Triple Air Studio as well as outsourcing gear from around the traps, always as cheaply as possible but as you can imagine, it all adds up.

How The Funds Will Be Used
Before i go any further, here's a quick questionaire....

Yep, you guessed correctly!! Making an album is so much fun but it is a little heavy on the pockets and us independent muso's don't tend to have a lot of extra cash floating around (well, none of the ones i tend to hang out with...but if you know any wealthy ones feel free to let me know)
You may notice that my target goal in this project is only $6,500. This is because i'm pitching in as much as i can, as well as using some of the money my parents left me. They were my biggest fans and I think they would've been happy with my choice to make an album (instead of getting a hip replacement!) and i think they would have loved this album as much as i hope you will.
If i reach beyond my target i will use the extra funds for promotion of the album.
