Let me tell you about my Pozible project.

I have a solo amplified violin show called VOLUME.

I commission all the pieces of music from local (sometimes international) composers, I pay for all the costumes (also commissioned from local designers and makers) I have the show sketched and filmed (I pay for this too) and I show the latest film clips of Australian up and coming bands and animators. I perform these shows on the Spur Violins Semi Acoustic and Electric violins.

These one of a kind instruments, made by Melbourne instrument maker Paul Davies, have attracted much attention and a double violin concerto by the incredible pianist/composers Stefan Cassomenos has been written for my sister and me specifically for these instruments accompanied by a Classical sized orchestra.

This Pozible funding will go to the payment of the orchestra needed to stage this amazing work again. That means 6 violins, 3 violas, 2 cellos, 2 basses, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 2 horns, 2 trumpets and one set of timpani at $300 per person. This fee would be payment for one rehearsal and the performance during my solo show on November 4th 2012 at BMW Edge at the iconic Federation Square in Melbourne, Australia.

The amazing Fabian Russell is donating his conducting skills to us we are truly grateful for that.

We are also eternally grateful to the beautiful community Orchestra - Orchestra 21 - for premiering the work earlier this year. They have an exciting concert series of their own, have a look at their great 2012 program...
