Sleep is inspired by an actual medical condition and the common writer block that all writers have or will suffer throughout their life/career as well as being influenced by a one-minute short drama by Christopher Morley called 'Writer's Block' that touches on similar themes of struggling to write something.
Sleep is focused on a scriptwriter named Tom who is struggling to write his short film 'If I Stayed' which may be the reason he can't sleep, that or something deeper... Tom is an up and comer writer but struggles to find the words to help finish his script before the due date, can Tom find the strength to finish the script or will his lack of Sleep catch up with him?
