It all started back in 2014...

I had just signed a management deal with an experienced major manager in the USA, joining a roster of internationally recognised names, and we were on the brink of securing my first ever US record deal with a small jazz/blues label based out of Los Angeles, only for it to fall through in perplexing circumstances that an ignorant 26 year old me was not prepared for.

What was to follow would be one of the most challenging periods of my life, as I spiralled mentally into a deep, dark, lonely place called depression.

Confused and feeling like all my dreams had been shattered in the blink of an eye; my confidence was shot, my motivation lost, and my enthusiasm for all the things that fill my life with purpose had reached an all time low.

For 2 and ½ years, unbeknown to the people around me, I dragged myself through each day, feeling burdensome and distant from the world. But little did I realise the personal growth that all the pain was leading me toward…

As much as this period of my life hurt like hell, and as hard as it felt at the time, I look back on it now with a tremendous amount of gratitude; for it taught me so many valuable lessons that I so desperately needed to learn, and gave birth to a number of songs that I so desperately needed to write. All of which will be showcased on this forthcoming EP.

Songs that I hope can help to spread a message of consciousness; a skill that I could have done with at the time of my darkest hour, but would have never discovered without it.

Songs that I hope can start a conversation that I feel we as humans need to have, and leave others inspired to seek the life they love if they’re not already doing so; because life is too short not to.

It’s been a long journey rebuilding all the confidence that I had lost, but a journey well and truly worth it.

And now, as I near the finish line, I'm reaching out to you, the ones who’ve stuck by me so tolerantly as I’ve regathered myself, and offering you a chance to collaborate with me on the home stretch of this release.
