In three decades TAP has become Sydney’s best-known un-curated visual arts space. In that time we’ve helped a diverse spectrum of artists showcase their works, with notable Australian talent.
TAP GALLERY was closed by NSW Health regulations for 5 months and has been under Covid restrictions since March 2020. Even though it is now open daily their are restrictions on numbers allowed on the premises. This means few people are able to attend events and artists have difficulty selling their work. TAP also stages art classes which are also also under the same restrictions with limited attendees.
This means that TAP Gallery's income has been severely diminished and bills are challenging, particularly rent which is substanstial.
Budget Overview
Your financial support will go directly to rent & ongoing costs. TAP Gallery is a registered charity and all staff are voluntary.
All funds will go directly to sustaining the space and supporting the artists coming up in the next 6 months.

Free painting class with nude model
Painting the Nude Art Classes are rewarding tutored classes featuring a live nude model. All art materials are supplied including acrylic paint & canvas. You are guided by Lesley Dimmick BFA, OAM to completion with your very own artwork to take home. The class is set in a welcoming art gallery environment with changing exhibitions on display. The event is suitable for beginners to advanced and you can bring drinks & nibbles along. Many attendees come back again and this class comes highly recommended. This event is a great idea for celebrating birthdays or hen’s events and if you can muster your own group of 10 or more you can choose another night such as Saturday evening to hold your very own special night.
