Half a lifetime ago, in December 2014, we recorded 13 brand new tracks for our second full-length album, Hall on the Hill. Since then we've been caught up in playing live shows and festivals, making friends, becoming homeless, fathering childen, studying astrophysics, teaching students, and fashion-blogging.

Our plans to release Hall on the Hill have been postponed not just because of lack of time, but also lack of money. Being a musician just isn't the road to El Dorado that we all thought it was when we decided to form a folk band. But that's where you come in! We're asking you, dear friend, to pledge what you can to help get this album finished. In return, we'll shower you with gifts and praise and a copy of the brand new album you helped create.

Hall on the Hill represents our finest work so far, and all of us are incredibly proud of all the songs and our performances on the record. We recorded the album in a lighthouse keeper's cottage on the far south coast of New South Wales, an hour from the closest town, Eden, which has a population of only around 3,000 people. We were isolated and alone on the penninsula, allowed to focus completely on the music, and it shows in the recordings. We can't wait for everyone to hear this album, and to finally release it so we can work on the next one!

Most of the cost of the album has been paid by us already in recording the original tracks at Green Cape lighthouse, but there are still a few things left to pay for: mixing and mastering the tracks and pressing the CDs account for most of this, as well as paying for production and postage of the rewards for this Pozible campaign. Below is a breakdown of the costs of getting the album made.

Recording:

• Lighthouse cottage hire - $2100 (Paid)
• Recording engineer & equipment - $1500 (Paid)
• Travel costs to & from Green Cape - $550 (Paid)

Post-production:

• Mixing - $2600 (To be paid by the band)
• Mastering - $1500
• Pressing CDs - $1500
• Merchandise - stickers, matchbooks, t-shirts, beans - $600
• Pozible fees - $180 (5% of our total funding goal)
  
  Total outstanding budget - $3780

Because we are (well and truly) past the recording stage of the project, what's left presents very few challenges to us aside from getting the money to afford it all.
