Once upon a time (well, two years ago actually) Dahlia Ishak had a dream to create a new kind of space for Brisbane. As a freelance graphic designer, she was frustrated with not being able to find an affordable creative space to work outside of her home. She tried working in coffee shops, and while she loved them and their humming vibe, they didn’t necessarily love her hanging around all day. So she decided to create a co-working-space-come-coffee-shop that mixed together the enjoyment of being in coffee shops with the resources available in shared offices.
The result has been The Rabbit Hole, located first at West End and then Spring Hill, which offers all the best things about a café (coffee, treats and a cool vibe) plus inspiring workspaces from a table in the café to individual desk rentals in the dedicated co-working space and even boardroom hire. And it has garnered co-working accolades and acclaim locally, nationally and internationally while doing so.
But that’s not where the story ends.
Sadly, the Rabbit Hole is being moved from its current space as the building has been scheduled for redevelopment. But, far from this being the end of The Rabbit Hole, we see it as being just the beginning. And that’s where you – and this Pozible campaign - come in.
Dahlia and Ray (her hard working, ever-lovin’ husband and business partner) have instead expanded The Rabbit Hole team and vision, and plan to create the best darn creative work space and community in not just Brisbane, but Australia. But we need your help to do it.

UPDATE ON THE PROJECT
Sadly, despite our best efforts we have been unable to find a new venue before our campaign ended which made us hesitant to continue asking for donations. We've been floored by the overwhelming support and love that came through. We know many of you, studios especially, have been waiting to make donations until we could make announcements on where we were moving, and we thank you for your patience. We want the best for you, and so will keep looking for a great new space. Please stay in touch. You have made the journey worthwhile. How The Funds Will Be Used
The team is together, the plan is in place… we just need a few additional funds to bring it to life.
The new Rabbit Hole will be predominantly funded by every last penny in our pockets and the support of our partners in the new venture (see the team bios below) but, as plans have had to be escalated due to our impending lease termination, we need a little extra help. Every cent we raise will go towards making an offer and paying for a new building. The sooner we raise the funds, the sooner we can secure our lease on the right one. The good ones tend to go fast, and we don't want to miss out.
We cannot create this incredible space for Brisbane without your help. The new, improved space is scheduled to open in March 2014 and will be located in an inner-city warehouse roughly 350 square metres in size. The new Rabbit Hole will include:
