The Rebelles are, quite simply, a spectacular force of nature – fifteen wondrous women serving up a wall of girl group greatness. Backed by our blistering four-piece band, The Rebelles believe in the power of rock and the importance of putting on an unforgettable show each and every time we hit the stage.

Now we’ve made our first record of all original tunes and we’re pretty damn excited!

As you only make your debut record once we thought we’d give it a good shake. So, armed with 14 brand new songs about cars, boys, rock'n'roll and the highs and lows of love and heartbreak, we went into Melbourne’s legendary Soundpark Studios and packed every one chock full of guitars, drums, organs, strings, horns and enough percussion to sink a ship.

But the real star of the show is the breathtaking singing. Voices that will make your heart leap for joy one minute before breaking it the next, all wrapped up in soaring harmonies that you just can’t hear anywhere else.

How The Funds Will Be Used

All up our record has been nearly two years in the making, hence the piggy bank is well and truly empty. But we’re so proud of this record and want to get it out there to an unsuspecting but soon to be converted world. What do we need to get it over the line?

The breakdown:
$1200 for mastering
$1800 for album pressing and artwork
$1000 to help with publicity and a rockin album launch

Any extra funds you lovely people can come up with will go towards a promo video for our ace opening single 'Spanish Fitzroy'.

The Challenges

When we started this project the list of challenges was a mile long. We only have one left – raising the final dollars we need to ring this baby home. If we don't achieve our Pozible target, our plan is to keep gigging and fundraising until we reach our goal, but we're crossing our many fingers and toes, as we have our sights set on a rockin' launch in July. Everyone's invited!

The Rebelles are the very meaning of independent. All gigs are booked by the band. All recordings have been paid for by the band. It’s not easy, it takes up a lot of time and energy, but we love it and we’re not about to stop now.

Please chip in what you can to help. All the Rewards are great – imagine being the first kid on the block to have your very own Rebelles show! – but the real joy is in simply knowing that you’ve contributed to this great debut album of ours.
