The String Family

Hello! We are the String Family, and our mission is to finish production of our fifth album titled "The Dream". 

It will be produced and shipped as a physical CD as well as available via digital download by the first week of July, 2020.

After performing our beautiful show every night for six months at Paronella Park in Far North QLD - a total of 520 shows! - we recorded the music from the show in its entirety for our fans to enjoy. With the arrival of Covid-19, Paronella Park has temporarily closed and we have lost our 2020 Paronella Park season and all other income producing work for the foreseeable future.

We now need your help to have the recorded tracks edited, mixed, mastered and the final product produced!

How You Can Help

You can help by making a pledge in return for a reward. We have eight "Rewards" to choose from. A "Reward" is the term that Pozible uses to describe what you will receive in return for your "pledge". We have a number of rewards available at different pricing levels, and you pledge the amount stated for the reward. The higher your pledge, the more you receive. We've had some feedback that the first reward is confusing - "I choose to have no reward for my pledge". This is essentially an option to donate. All the other rewards mean that when our target of $3500 is reached, you have then purchased what is described.

Thanks to the wonderful support we have received, we are now able to ship 'The Dream' on a custom made 32GB USB Drive! 

For a couple of years now, supporters have asked us if we have our music for sale on USB drives. Many new cars do not come with a CD player, but we have not had the means or confidence to also provide our music on this new format. Our supplier has given us a mock up of the drive as shown below, and so it's our pleasure to add it to our rewards!

The 9 tracks on the CD vary from Spanish influenced works composed by Sarah, to the drama of Vivaldi's Storm from Summer and the romance of Aranjuez. Sarah's compositions on this CD have not yet been released and are completely new and fresh.

The amazing photography used in this pozible campaign is courtesy of Stephen Jorgenson from All Saints Photography, and our album artwork will use his photoghraphy also. Stephen travelled 2570 km to do this photo shoot for us. Thank you Stephen!

The String Family have already released four beautiful CDs, which are Australian made and of exceptional quality, and have sold nearly 10,000 copies to date. 

You can be assured that we will deliver on our promise of an album of the highest quality!

Much of the cost of this album has already been outlayed in the writing and recording of the tracks. Some of the tracks have already been mixed and mastered. The amount of $3500 is just what we need to get us across the finishing line. We have our suppliers booked and ready to go, we just need $3500 to complete the project. The final costs are outlined below.

APRA AMCOS Royalties: $315

Costs such as recording time and postage are not included, as the recording has already been completed and we have a good number of pre-paid Australia Post packaging in stock. Being our fifth album, we have lots of experience with producing an album and were already well on our way to completing it just as Covid-19 hit.
