Mission & Vision:

Therapy is a cumulative body of work from six RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design) [Honours] graduates. It symbolizes the therapeutic act of creation and the bonds of friendship. The group formed over melancholy drinks and collective stress, developing into a support system throughout their honors year. Therapy brings together a group of young practitioners with diverse design backgrounds, finding kinship in creation. Exhibited as an immersive runway experience, Therapy is the manifestation of a support network united in the therapy of making.

Therapy. DNA:

The Therapy collective hold sustainable practice and environmental accountability as a core value and henceforth will be taking initiative to minimize waste produced on the evening of the showcase. This includes re-usable/bio-degradable glassware, paperless-digital catalogue and considered, minimal waste designed merchandise.

We need your support!

What are we looking for?

The Therapy team consists of 6 emerging designers, who are in their final graduate year. We want to produce a runway show and create a platform to showcase and elevate all of our hard work (plus… blood, sweat and tears).

However, this is a not for profit self funded event with each of us already putting a combined $12,000 of our savings into our graduate collections, publications and venue deposits for this show!

Organizing an event like this takes a tremendous amount of hard work and money with costs for venue, lighting, sound, visuals, set design, production, crew, catering, security, waste minimization, videography, photography, models, hair and makeup to all be considered and covered within our limited budget.

How can you help?

Crowd funding is a great way to raise funds, but we didn’t want to just ask people for money….

Instead we wanted to create accessible, affordable and sustainable merchandise to reward you, our incredible supporters, in exchange for pledges to our show!

Therapy has some outstanding sponsors helping us make our dream a reality, but we still your help to get this off the ground!

We hope to intrigue and entice you to be a part of something therapeutic with us, as we produce a quality and high production value show which we can be proud of as we step onto the world stage in the field of fashion design and technology.

Outcomes from the show will include imagery and a short film, which will be used as content within our publications, but also serve as an opportunity to collaborate with and promote local businesses, students and sustainability.
