After finding success in developing smart bracelets, and having experienced a range of smart watches on the market, we started to think about the two and decided to combine our expertise and interests to create our own smart watch.
The wheels were set in motion after we attended a university alumni party, where many of our peers said they only needed to wear multifunction watches with a display when they were exercising. They generally expressed their disdain for watches with exaggerated style and excessive functions, preferring instead the appearance and functionality of a traditional watch and the convenience of selected smart functions such as activity tracking and reminders.
We realised these preferences were not unique to just this group of people, and set about developing a smart and convenient product that users are willing to wear for a long time. The Trasense smart watch features exceptional industrial design, perfectly combining the best qualities of the traditional quartz watch with the most desirable smart features.

我们的团队
十年手机电子产品设计经验让团队拥有软硬件设计的丰富经验，三年智能穿戴产品设计经验 让团队吸收了更多ID外观设计，结构设计，APP设计、用户体验交互设计等经验，团队成员包括了ID设计，硬件设计，结构设计，固件设计，APP设计。在推出TRASENSE WATCH之前做了很长时间的积累工作，目前拥有发明专利1 项，外观专利 10 项，实用新型专利1项，软件著作权6项目，我们希望TRASENSE成为智能饰品的领导品牌。
项目的困难和风险
1.待机时间：手表采用了传统机械表与智能手表的集合，即是一块时尚的石英表又是一块智能手表，我们采用了世界超低功耗Dialog芯片和超低功耗的加速度传感器芯片加上独特而细致的算法，待机时间大大增加。
2.算法，采用了DIALOG以后，功耗有了大大降低，但是我们发现算法上的优化，配合DIALOG的底层指令，还可以继续降低功耗，这个部分我们花了大概1个月的时间去研发，进一步降低功耗。
3.天线设计，对于不锈钢包围的手表机身来说，天线设计绝对是一个挑战，经过多次试验和反复确认，我们找了一个独特的天线设计来保持穿透性，从而保证蓝牙性能。

项目进度
我们为什么要做这样的一款手表？
在做过了很多款式的智能手环和体验了市面上很多的智能手表之后，我们开始思考用户到底需要那些元素，而拥有这些元素的产品用户愿不愿意长期去佩？在一个校友聚会上，很多校友表示不愿意佩戴现在市面上带屏幕显示，功能很多的手表，要戴的时候也只是在运动的时候戴一戴，原因是这些产品不符合内心的情感诉求，夸张的样式和过多的功能反而给他们带来负担。他们喜爱佩戴传统手表，并且只需要非常简单的智能功能，比如说运动功能和提醒功能即可，所以我们开始思考做这样一个产品，既是一个装饰品，让用户很愿意长期佩戴，又有一些无声细致的智能提醒功能，可以满足这群用户的需求。

The Trasense smart watch features a sapphire crystal face with a hardness just below that of a diamond, meaning you no longer need to worry about scratches on the surface of your watch. With the Trasense watch, you can enjoy your daily activities knowing your watch will remain unscathed.
With customised luminous dials and pointer, you'll conveniently be able to see the time in the middle of the night or in a dark room.
Featuring a high-quality stainless steel body, the Trasense watch also has well-designed LED lights that align with the C-shaped dial plate.
Smart functions
The Trasense smart watch features all the qualities you’d expect from a smart watch. The activity tracker records and measures steps taken, calories burnt and distance travelled, displaying your progress when you double-tap the screen. These serve as goal reminders, letting you know the progress of your daily activity at the tap (or two) of a finger!
Convenient call alerts let you know via your Trasense smart watch that you have an incoming phone call. Featuring vibrations and LED lights, you’ll never miss another call again!
Receive dynamic alerts to inform you of your activity progress! At the 25% and 100% intervals of your pre-entered activity goal, your Transense will light up and vibrate to keep you on track with your fitness goals.

Project timeline
Our team
With ten years of experience in mobile electronic product design, our team has the specific expertise to deliver the best smart wearable products and associated service to our customers. Collectively, we share design experience in the areas of software, hardware, smart wearable products, construction, apps, firmware, and more.
At present, we have an invention patent, ten appearance patents, a utility model patent and six software copyrights. With this experience and innovation behind us, we hope Trasense becomes a leading band of smart products.
How The Funds Will Be Used
Thank you for your support. The product's small-scale production is complete, and thus the funds from this Pozible campaign will be used to fund the next round of mass production. It will also enable us to continue R&D to improve future generations of the Trasense smart watch.
The Challenges
1. Standby time
Combining the traditional mechanical watch with smart functionality presented some challenges. We didn't want the Trasense smart watch to become a source of frustration for users over battery life and thus devoted ourselves to improving it. We used the ultra-low power consumption Dialog chip and sensor chip and, combined with a unique and detailed algorithm, we are pleased to report the product's standby time has been greatly increased to six months.
2. Algorithm
After we implemented the use of the Dialog chip and the watch's power consumption was greatly reduced, we found we needed to tweak the algorithm to further reduce power consumption. After about a month of additional research and development, we ultimately managed to develop the optimal algorithm.
3. Antenna design
For a watch body surrounded by stainless steel, the antenna design was definitely one of our greatest challenges. Through many repeated tests, we found a unique antenna design that now ensures the Bluetooth performance.
