Hello all,

My name is Lee Galea, I'm the writer/director of ‘Monster Pies’. This is my second feature film produced by my company 'Indie Melbourne Productions' (IMP) which follows the achievements of ‘Less Adolescent’ (2009).

ABOUT THE FILM:

'Monster Pies’ is a 95 minute drama set in Melbourne's west suburbs during the mid 90's. It tells the story of two high school boys who discover feelings for each other while making a horror film adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. The film deals with love, loss, friendship, adolescence, equality, family and the problems that we chose to ignore.

OBJECTIVES:

- To increase the quality and diversity of Australian films.

- To support independent filmmakers and nurture new talent.

- To inspire more filmmakers to pursue independent features.

WHEN:

The film is scheduled to begin shooting in November 2011 and end in January 2012.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

We currently do not have enough in our budget to start principal photography. So far, we have raised $5,000, and with your assistance we hope to double that so we can begin shooting.

Funds will go to:

- Cast / Crew fees

- Equipment hire

- Props / Costumes / Art department

THEN:

After the film is completed, we will submit the film in festivals both domestically and internationally and then pursue distribution for theatres and DVD.

With your kind support, you will secure the growth of independent filmmaking within Australia, which will inevitably lead to more films produced within our industry.
