OUR CROWDFUNDING TARGET

We need to raise an additional $40,000 to make this production become the film we want it to be. If 750 of you were to pledge $100 each, we'd hit our dream target.
We’ve set our Pozible goal at $20,000 because we want to make sure we reach it (if we don't hit our Pozible target, we don't get any money). But we don't want the pledging to stop there. Even if we reach $20,000, people can still pledge more to help us reach our dream target (and still reap their Rewards). We really need $40,000 to make the best film that we can make.
Our budget was for the minimum it will require to make the film and your ongoing support will allow us to bring an even better cinematic experience to the screen. We also just LOVE the fact that you will be involved! So please keep those pledges coming and spread the word!

WHY WE’RE CROWDFUNDING

We started filming in March 2012, but in order to finish to do that we need your support. Our amazingly passionate cast and crew are all working on this project on deferred payment. This means we can make this film sooner than we otherwise could have. Bless them!

However, what you see on screen – the sets, costumes and locations – need funds to bring the film to life. That’s why we need your help.

OUR GOAL

We want 'Crestfallen' to screen in cinemas and film festivals around Australia and the world. We want our film to rise to the standard it deserves, with sets, costumes and locations that do the story proud. To do this we need to raise $40,000.

HOW TO PLEDGE

Basic  info June/July 2013 Drama/Thriller  Evan Geiger (Glenn Hunter) is a 33 year old recently divorced father of one, who makes his living working as a theoretical physicist at the Monash Research and Development Laboratory. Evan tries to create black holes for a living, which is ironic, because that is exactly what his life is about to become.

One day after work Evan decides to pop in to see his daughter against his ex-wife’s, Michelle Venari (Chloe Gavin), wishes. He arrives at his old home to find the house completely empty, furniture, ex-wife, daughter and mother in law, all gone except for one of his daughters toys and a note left by Michelle. Evan calls the police and soon encounters bureaucratic red tape. Evans father convinces him to enlist the help of an old family friend. A private investigator named Jack Dempsey, who served on the police force for 20 years and had been a P.I for 12 years and had recently retired.

Jack and Evan follow a trail of clues that lead them to Sydney’s outer west where they stumble onto a gruesome discovery. The man, who had transported Evans family from Melbourne to Sydney, is now dead and worse yet, police wanted this man for questioning in relation to his connection to a recent paedophile ring that was exposed by interpole.

Evan leaps into desperate action, knowing it is a race against time to find his daughter before it’s too late.

Crestfallen is a story of a father, whose love for his daughter transcends everything else in his life. As the lines between good and bad become blurred, Evan traverses a tight rope of danger, he becomes a morose figure, teetering on the brink of self destruction as he slowly descends into a dark place he knows little about....
