Jack is straight off the plane. He has few friends and no money. In desperation, he accepts an apartment formerly housed by the main suspect in a serial murder case - John Ellroy.



Plagued by insomnia, Jack broods in the apartment and wanders the inner-city streets of Melbourne. His loneliness leads him into a friendship with a teenage addict Janie, and into a bizarre obsession with Ellroy. 

Jack struggles to retain his sanity as his world spirals into madness and violence.




Jugular is the debut feature film of novelist-turned director JJ DeCeglie. Shot-from-the-hip on the streets of Melbourne the finished product and lead actor Greg Pakis are getting rave reviews. Jugular won 'Best Film', 'Best Director' and 'Best Actor' at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival.

The campaign funds will be used to pay for Jugular's classification costs in Australia, the United States and elsewhere. For example the Australian Classification board legally require us to pay AU$2180 before we can be released in cinemas and the US Classification and Rating Administration US$2500. These costs vary significantly elsewhere. This is small change to a Disney or Paramount, but is extremely prohibitive for independent filmmakers.



The remainder of the funds will be used for P&A  (prints and advertising) and iTunes aggregation. To enable a full release we are essentially using crowd-funding as a form of pre-sales to cash flow a full release.
