"Championing The Future Of Indigenous Youth"

The Dreamtime Project is the most unique programme ever designed which provides a powerful framework which fosters self empowerment in an Indigenous youth's every day life. It is a holistic approach with a strong focus on health, healing & wellbeing encompassing the realm of fashion as a platform to spring board from. Indigenous cultures are creative by spirit, however, in Australia there are limited platforms or support systems in the creative arts for Indigenous stories to be told through modern mediums such as fashion, to create self employment and sustainable businesses.

More broadly, there is significant cultural value in raising the profile of Indigenous models in the mainstream media and our fashion press, extending the repertoire of popular representations of Indigenous people beyond sportsmen and women, men of the land, and women holding up family and community.

We facilitate holistic 10 week workshops that will have a strong focus on building self esteem, honouring ones self and confidence. The courses are empowering, engaging, educational and fun that will bring whole communities together and nurture Indigenous youth into developing new skills. The programme will engage Indigenous youth community at grass roots level to educate and we will provide assistance to every individual to recognise their “blue print” as the foundation to build upon as their own personal pathway to empowerment to believe in themselves that anything is possible.

Our workshops are proven to be invaluable in preparing participants for employment and is vital in establishing the expectations and demands of a job. From grooming and deportment, nutrition, fitness to developing effective communication skills, The Dreamtime Project  provides the tools for successful long term employees and increases engagement.

The Dreamtime Project is designed to increase individuals potential by creating a reality so that goals are achieved. We encourage and support Indigenous youth to become leaders and role models at a community and family level in their everyday lives and inspirations for other youth by helping to lay the foundations for future generations.

How The Funds Will Be Used

The Dreamtime Project's programme is at no cost to Indigenous youth and their families. This in turn means that we must request financial support from the global community to assist The Dreamtime Project in rolling out the programme.

All the funding that is received goes directly into the programme. No matter how much we raise through this platform it will still be of a great assistance to put back into facilitating the programme.

The programme will roll out in communities across WA commencing with Perth, Pilbara and The Kimberley. We will then facilitate workshops in the east coast of Australia.

Your support will allow us to:

    • Secure a venue to do the workshops
    • Engage in professional facilitators, mentors and health professionals.
    • Transportation to remote communities so workshops can be facilitated

"Every precious drop of change has a ripple effect on the ocean"

The Challenges

The only risk and challenge would be that we would not be able to secure the required funding in the given time frame. If this posed an issue we would postpone the launch of the programme until adequate funds are secured.
