Masai Community Toilet, Tanzania

Chef lives with his extended family in a traditional 'boma' in the Rift Valley in Northern Tanzania. The family are semi-nomadic, living off their land with their herds of goat and cattle. Neighbourning families live nearby in separate bomas. Here are some of his family members.

There is currently no toilet for the community and Chief has a vision to build a sustainable toilet for his family and neighbours. The toilet will be built using materials purchased locally and by labourers from the community.
Chief has drawn the outline of the plot where his toilet will be positioned and he would love your help!
We've turned the first soil and now you're invited to be a part of this project, providing practical support to a generous and caring family.
How The Funds Will Be Used
Here is Chief's first cut at the budget after our meeting with him recently. We are working through each of these items (truck for transporting sand and concrete, paying labourers, purchasing iron sheets, etc).
A shout out on facebook about the great support you've given.
