If you are like us and went to raves in the early 90s, we’re betting that for over 20 years you have had your rave flyers stored somewhere. They’ll have moved homes with you, live under the bed, or on a shelf ... one thing’s for sure, you won’t have thrown them out. Why? Because you harbour the dream of one day turning them into a book that you can reminisce over with your kids, grandkids, friends and family.
We want to make the dream a reality by making a high-quality coffee table book to immortalise Sydney rave flyers from 1990–1995. This project is completely non-profit. We are relying on funding from passionate ravers like you to get it into print. If you don’t buy it we can’t print it! So please support us and our partner Lifeline!
This won’t be just any book. It will be a quality publication that will hold its own against any art book:
* Containing over 280 pages of beautifully reproduced flyers (no blue tack marks, no creases, no tears!) printed chronologically onto high-quality art paper.
* Measuring 290 x 230 mm.
* Beautifully laid out by award-winning book designer Kerry Klinner of MegaCity Design.
* Available in a debossed hardcover (with matt laminated dust jacket) and softcover, and priced from $50.
* Delivered in December in its own specially made mailer box.
* Supporting charity, with all profits going to Lifeline to help support their 24 hour telephone crisis support service.
That’s five years of memories preserved for less than the cost of a rave ticket for one night of fun. We can’t do it without your pledges and we are only here for a limited time so please buy one today!
Rave will be a collection of favourite Sydney rave flyers from 1990–1995. To suggest a flyer, post it on Instagram with the tag #sydneyraveflyers. We’ll try to include your favourites in the book.
To put this project together we have all had to dig out our flyer collections. Some were stored on top of dusty shelves of cupboards, others in boxes in the garage, still others in plastic bags under beds. Where have you been storing yours for the past 20 years? Let us know by taking a photo and posting it to Instagram with the tag #findmyflyers.
We're offering 100 people, who pledge to buy a book, a chance to win one of 25 tickets to Rave Anthems at Oxford Arts Factory on 27th September.

How The Funds Will Be Used
All funds raised will go towards the production of the book, with all profits going to Lifeline. Our expenses include:
* Scanning, editing, design, prepress, printing, production, shipping
* Minor admin costs associated with obtaining clearances from promoters and designers
* Minor advertising costs
