BULLHORN is a Brisbane based dynamic new wave brass band with a line up including 7 horns, 1 drummer and 1 MC. With roots in hip hop, funk, soul, reggae, jazz and dance music, we're a group like no other, with a unique fresh line up and sound. 

BULLHORN first formed in 2011 and in those 3 years we've worked hard to develop the band. We first started as an instrumental group, without the MC, and released our debut self titled album in February 2012. We're really proud of our first album; we still regularly play all those tunes. However since those early days our sound has developed, especially since the introduction of Roman MC.

We connected with Roman through the tight knit and incestuous Brisbane music scene, and started working with him in late 2012. By early 2013 it was clear that something incredible was happening. As one of our biggest fans, Tashka, once put it "Finally a man big enough for the the band and a band big enough for the man!" Roman is an incredible front man, with massive charismatic stage presence and free style skills and flow to match the best in the industry. The combination of his skills, seven hard hitting horn players, one bossing drummer, and inspiring, intelligent, arrangements with deep grooves is something we're really proud of.

So in March 2013, with Roman MC on board and our new sound developing, we decided to start work on our new album, Players Sounds.

Since then we've been working hard. We've already released three singles from the upcoming album:-

We're really proud and excited about what we've come up with so far. We've funded it all ourselves so far, by playing a lot of shows, selling a lot of merch, putting nearly all the money back into the band and every member contributing huge amounts of time and effort to the cause. But recording and touring is expensive. That's why we need your help!!!

We are a well organised group, with so much passion and potential. We really want to release this new album and push this band to the next level. But as is so often the case with aspiring new artists, lack of money is holding us back.

We see great potential in the raw material we have so far, but there's still much work to be done. We did the sums and worked out that we need $7000 to get this album finished and released by planned release date of September 2014!
