PITCH MAGAZINE: THE PRINT ANNUAL
From what started as a passion project three years ago, to what has now become a dedicated full-time publication profiling the wickedly talented global contributors of fashion, art and design, our main goal has always been to find a home for those craving a voice as loud and as strong as their skills.

With a strikingly minimal and uniquely off-beat perspective, the PITCH readership has swelled in numbers since its inception - a response to the mutual aesthetic vision of the PITCH team and its multifaceted, multicultural and multidisciplinary following. Through utilising the globally accessible social media platforms of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to propel it into new surroundings, the PITCH brand is now bursting at the seams with an ever increasing amount of new and exciting talent seeking involvement. But we can’t support this acceleration alone.
Growing numbers means more hands on deck. The PITCH team has been firmly at the helm since the beginning and we’re not going anywhere. The creative industries is a tough nut to crack, and it’s as much about business as it is innovation. That’s why we’re seeking help from you, our audience, to participate in the construction of our business that will ensure our longevity in the creative market.

With the launch of a print edition on the horizon, PITCH is seeking more than your creative input in turning this goal into one heck of a reality. Some may say we’re doing things backwards by starting with digital and transitioning into print, but we say onwards and upwards. We are now more inspired than ever to turn what we are passionate about at PITCH into a tangible object to join the print media circuit and represent the best of what we are about. Making this transition is no small feat when creativity is called on to match business brawn. But if creativity can teach us anything, it’s that evolving is the key to vitality. By bringing PITCH into a different media field, we aim to exceed the generalised expectations of creativity losing out against facts and figures. We want both, and we need you to do it!

Who are we?
A unique alternative to traditional online media, PITCH provides readers with a range of unique fashion editorials, well-formulated articles and profiles and daily industry updates from the realms of fashion, art and design mediums, all produced with a dedication to interdisciplinary collaboration.
Where are we?
PITCH is based in Brisbane, Queensland, with core team members also based in Australia’s creative capitals, Sydney and Melbourne. Our online residences - www.pitchzine.com and http://pitch-present.com - is where you can familiarise yourself with our vibe, as well as take a peek at our talented contributors from around the globe.
What is our crowdfunding goal?
To bring you a rockin’ print issue of everything we believe in and aesthetically reflect at PITCH. But to bring this to the table, we will need around $15,000, and that’s where you come in!
PITCH is not seeking to bring you a standard publication that you can put down just as easily as you pick up. We’re formulating a new kind of magazine, a tangible object that enthralls you with design and imagery that fascinates the imagination.

Aside from helping with the process of producing a print issue, you’ll be assisting with shipping costs, general overheads and ongoing website hosting for our digital home, budgets for editorial content (both print and online) resulting in an increased amount of daily content available to you.

Not only will your pledge help in the production of our first print edition, but it will also come in handy when re-launching the PITCH brand with an updated vision for the digital sphere. With the unveiling of a refreshed online facade towards the end of 2014, PITCH will be looking to celebrate these two exciting developments with a rad shindig. And what better way to toast a cool new thing than with a drink or three, cool tunes and open doors to share with our supporters?
The Challenges

As with most creative pursuits, PITCH faces a few tricky turns along its path to paperback territory. Transitioning from a digital space into print proves a challenge from the get-go as it's not how things are generally done these days, but we're not letting that stop us. At the same time, we have to keep our eye on a few things.
The current economy of the creative industries has been a topic of lengthy discussion for a while now. Along with this dialogue arises the question of 'why' when it comes to launching into print media if a strong digital presence already exists. The answer is simple and doesn't require lengthy debate. All it requires is an understanding that print and digital media, whilst it may not have been once, is now again being recognised as a package deal. A mutual existence of both the online and physical in the creative industries is coming back around, and we're excited to be a part of it.
