Radiothon lies at the core of 2XX. The funds raised are essential to our annual operating costs and are crucial to the quality, growth and continuation of 2XX and independent media in Canberra.
2XX is a wholly independent non-profit community broadcaster which relies on public support to keep us running – people powered radio. Through donations, subscriptions, local gigs and sponsorship, it’s people like you that keep 2XX broadcasting.
In the last 12 months the Radiothon 2013 has empowered 2XX to:
- Produce over 50 programs presented by over 200 volunteers.
- Broadcast live sets of over 100 local bands and artists.
- Produce nationally award winning documentaries.
- Invest in the next generation of radio makers through training opportunities.
- Continue to proudly give a voice to Australia's first peoples
- Present the issues and opinions of over 15 different multicultural groups.
- Keep 2XX broadcasting 24 hours a day 7 days a week for our community.
All of this and more then we can say, was achievable through your support. By being passionate, loyal, engaged and excited, your donations and contributions helped 2XX keep Canberra media independent and local.
This year the Radiothon will run from Monday November 10th till Sunday November 23rd and we're asking you to put your money where your ear is!
By donating to the Radiothon, you will go into the draw to win over $8,000 worth of prize,Check out the prizes on offer below. Every donation, no matter how big or small, gets you into the draw to win these great prizes. However, the more you donate increases your chances. Each donation is worth one ticket.You also go into the draw to win daily prizes that will be announced during at 5:30pm each day. Donate on any specific day will put you in the running for that prize.

Radiothon will kick off with a very special broadcast of Breakfast and continue through drive with the Local 'n' Live team broadcasting LIVE from Garema Place each day. Come on down and see live radio, local bands and a ton of other special surprises.
The Radiothon celebrations don't just end there. 2XX is proud to be hold a ton of great events for anyone in the area! Each of the banners below is a direct link to an event and, whether your a fan of comedy, trivia or pumping live music, there is definitely something something for you.
The Radiothon also continues in the 2XX studios, staffed around the clock with our brilliantly passionate volunteers, taking your donations. As well as this, the Radio never ends on 98.3fm and online
