I am going to publish 100 notes for this book.  These notes are to educate women about subjects that we are passionate about including women's health eduction, gender equality; supporting intelligence and creativity.  It will contain 25 photos of extraordinary women in my life, they are my tribe. In the folds of the pages I will publish your love notes. It will be in the format of an A5 magazine. It will be beautiful.  It will make you laugh from deep in your guts. It will teach you to have control of your health. It will support women, mothers and daughters around the world that you will never meet. It will make me proud that you have read it. It will be the first book I publish but definitely not the last.

Three years ago I was a clinical naturopath teaching dozens of people to be educated about their health and empowering them to own their own wellness.

Two and a half years ago I opened The Staple Store and began to make sustainable wellness  education accessible to hundreds.

One year ago I began to run workshops to give hundreds of people the tools to respect the earth and humanity whilst making choices about their health.

Eight weeks ago I started to write notes to my future daughter.  Six weeks ago I realised this could be a book. Five weeks ago I worked out how to self publish it on recycled stock, with vegetable dyes, in Melbourne.  One week ago I shot the promotional video with eight of my tribe.  

Seven days ago, I realised why I was born.  



I can close my eyes and a small hand takes mine, she looks up at me and I know that her eyes are telling me that she chose me to navigate her through this moment to her dreams. I can feel my heart fill with so much love, and softly I whisper 'there is so much I want you to hear'...and then these notes just write themselves.

Education is our greatest right, teaching is our biggest gift and our health the most important thing we will ever own.

To get this project rolling, we need the paper.  All the other parts of this project can start before we have finished this campaign.  We hope to reach our goal and then some.  We would love to pay our graphics team (green mag publishing, St Kilda), photographer (Georgia), make up artist (Olivia) and film crew (Greta) before we get to distribution.  We will keep you posted with our progress.  




This will be the beginning of many printed projects, we are building a superhuman team of creatives, intellectuals and health nerds... I want to be able to look back in future years and feel proud of the work I have achieved; To know that it aligns with my personal ethos, the sensibilities of my tribe and the core beliefs of the Staple business. This is why self publishing is imperative to me; as a control freak and as a conscious consumer. Also, the idea of helping other small businesses perhaps to grow their dreams into print, blows my mind.

At Staple, we have a strong social media network and database, however, we face challenges in the area of distribution. In order to achieve our goals and connect with as many women as possible across the globe we will need a helping hand. We will seek expertise and guidance in distribution methodology and practice in order to make our dreams a reality.
