Hello! So I'm Linden, I'm sure you read that. I'm an actor, singer, songwriter, dancer at times too. Since young I've always written songs though. They are always rather personal stories, or at the least connected in some way to important moments of my life. For this reason I've held them quietly to myself for the most part since I left my rock trio Olivine in 2009 to go study theatre in Singapore. I'm a stupid perfectionist that never puts much out there for fear it's not PERFECT.
  Anyway, I think it's time to put this stuff out there. It's quite an unusual mix of styles. I love theatre music and my writing reflects that, from the narrative stylings to the complex harmonic ideas. I also love to rock out and hit hard. So if you can imagine Jeff Buckley, Brandon Boyd and Jason Robert Brown in a fist fight, perhaps all that fist-fun would result in me lying bloodied on the ground with some great ideas for music.      I worded that poorly. 

My music is complex, needs really good players and a variety of sounds. All these things are expensive and when I tallied the costs versus my savings, I came out over 10k short. That doesn't even include printing or duplication.

Here's a little bit on me working on the demos at home before I get to tracking in the studio.


Here's a mashed up sampled of a few of my demos that will be going on the record. Remember, these are rushed bedroom drafts with programmed drums and my bass playing... Imagine what they'll sound like in the studio!

I am now $4000 in debt to my credit card. Please help me climb out of this hole and finish the record. It's at a standstill until I can actually afford the rest of the process.

Bass tracking - 600pd x 3 days = $1800
Drum Tracking -  600pd x 3 days = $1800
Keys Tracking -  600pd x 3 days = $1800
Electric Guitars - 600pd x 1 day = $600
String Quartet - 2400pd x 1/2day = $1200
Mastering - $1000
Printing and duplication - 500 x 2.86ea = $1430
Petrol money - 20pd x 14 = 280

Total = $14410

John, the producer and I have planned out this thing in detail. We've put together great charts, booked the musicians, got the studio and the gear, honed the songs, prepared the coffee. We just need the cash to pay the people we want and to physically make the record. I guess what I mean is that THERE IS A LOT RIDING ON YOUR GENEROSITY.

Obstacles...hmmm, I'd say another bushfire in the Blue Mountains would be a pain in the ass.

We have the material, the time, the place and the passion. Your help funding this is all I need now.
